Dr. Ford graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed an internship and General Surgery residency at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center. He also completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Ford received additional training by performing a fellowship in Hand Surgery. His special interests include breast surgery, cancer reconstruction, cosmetic surgery, burn reconstruction and hand surgery. Dr. Ford is the Assistant Program Director of The Plastic Surgery Residency Program of the Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center, a division of Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine. He is also an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Ford is certified by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
